Walmart uses your search history and puns to deliver meaningful push notifications
As one of the biggest retailers in the world, Walmart wants to get you in the habit of relying on them for your shopping needs. In this example, Walmart has sent a push notification with a whimsical pun triggered by your previously favorited/searched history.
Why we think this push notification is good:
Context and personalization is everything when it comes to e-commerce push notification strategy. Where Walmart really shines is sending a relevant push notification letting me know about sales for pet products that were probably driven by my search history in order to get me back into the app and at least thinking about buying a product for my pet.
