Walmart sends a push notification to highlight deals from their seller network

In this example, Walmart’s app is highlighting the deals on their seller network, which vastly expands their own inventory to go head to head against Amazon. When it comes to buying “stuff” on Walmart, it isn’t top of my mind in terms of being the “everything store” which Amazon has grown to become known as around the world in English speaking countries.

Why we think this push notification is good:

By highlighting Walmart’s seller network with the deals that might be going on in their push notification, it creates another opportunity to get more mindshare from buyers around the world. Anything that brings visibility and familiarity to parts of your app to hopefully build a habit of visiting it more often is always a good practice in our opinion!
