Swarm sends push notifications to ask you to check into places you might have forgotten to

In this example, Swarm sent a push notification to remind users to check in to places they might have forgotten to check into, in order to engage with their app and potentially gain “Mayorships” and build out a user’s “real world graph”.

Why we think this push notification is good:

This is more like an abandoned cart reminder, but more for certain desired actions to get utility out of the app. In this case, it’s reminding the user to check-in to drive engagement. For any completist (such as myself), these notifications are welcome in my notification tray.
