StockX sends push notifications to alert users of new bids on sneakers
StockX is a marketplace for rare and collectible sneakers. In this example, StockX sent a push notification to alert the user of the latest price of a pair of rare sneakers.
Why we think this push notification is good:
For a marketplace that has an auction-style business model to have any liquidity, timeliness is crucial, and buyers need to be notified in real time if there are any changes in price. Here, the potential buyer probably has a price in mind that they’re willing to pay for the pair of Yeezy’s, and whether they’re still the highest bidder or they need to up their bid to win the auction.
