Meetup is the world’s largest website for creating and facilitating real-life Meetups across any interest. In this example, Meetup sent a push notification to a meetup group about a recent discussion that was started.

Why we think this push notification is good:

For any social based product, the heart of it is facilitating engagement through user generated content, whether comments, pictures, videos or remixes and notifying users that there is some content they might be interested in engaging with. In this case, it’s the Meetup group this user has joined, so sending a push notification of any relevant discussion to alert the user, along with a call-to-action to chime in makes sense.
