Google’s Nest Camera app sends push notifications to alert if there’s activity in its field of view.

In this example, Google’s Nest App lets you know of any movement or activity that’s detected in the field of view for the camera so you know who’s in the vicinity of your property.

Why we think this push notification is good:

The Nest Camera is all about security and having an extra set of eyes when you’re not physically present. In this case, it makes sense for the Nest app to send push notification to alert their customers of any activity that might be going on so you can intervene and take appropriate action. Kudos to the Nest team for leveraging push notifications in a way that feels natural and actually helpful to their users.
