When you have a maximum of 3 pricing plans, it will actually aid your audience to be more deliberate in what plan works best for them and not overwhelm them.
Why would they be overwhelmed? The answer lies in the paradox of choice. Providing too many choices can lead to an unsatisfactory experience, and less conversions on your pricing pages.

In this day and age we are surrounded by choices. We want to choose the best product or service but there are so many options to consider.

We are familiar with the feeling of information overload. Some examples are if you are in the supermarket choosing a new product and there are so many to choose from. You become overwhelmed and get frustrated with the choice. You want to pick a new phone and there are so many models to choose from. You finally settle on the same phone as your friend has.

Research shows that information overload results in less effective and satisfying decisions than when less information is presented or when fewer options are on offer. Information overload is the main reason why most people have such a hard time making decisions.
