YouNeedABudget.com (YNAB) is a paid personal finance app that helps you budget and plan for your future with their personal finance budgeting tools. In this example, YNAB has sent a push to let their customer know (in this case, me.. oops!) about overspending in a category I’ve spent.

Why we think this push notification is good:

YNAB notifications only when it’s necessary and as an extension of the app itself to help you take action and course correct on your budget. In the long run, the informational push notifications drive engagement and help their customers be an active participant in planning for their wealth, and ultimately increase their customer lifetime value.
