How Is Bounce Rate Calculated?

One of the most important KPIs marketers should monitor is the bounce rate. Bounce rate is calculated by dividing the number of visitors to a site by the number of unique people who left the site. For example, if a website receives 1,000 visits in one month and 500 of those visitors abandon the site without viewing any other pages, then the bounce rate is 50%.
