Google Maps solicits feedback from locals to make their maps more useful from with a push notification.

In this example, Google Maps is using their massive installed user base for iOS and Android to solicit feedback from locals to get relevant data around places they’ve been to.

Why we think this is a good push notification:

Google Maps is making it clear to the user that they need their help to provide more relevant data from a human perspective. It’s clearly written and gives the option to let Google know whether this push notification was useful to them or not with custom actions embedded. One thing I would have pointed out is a benefit tied to this push notification so they user knows what’s in it for them, or tying it directly to their Google Local Guides program.
